It's not surprising that Howard Moscoe, survived a vote of the TTC yesterday to remove him for gross incompetence and meddling in day-to-day affairs. He's the bumbly, stumbly loved uncle of all of Toronto Council's socialist caucus. For this pack of marxists (google Paula Fletcher some time) to lose Howard would be akin to the Simpsons losing Homer.
